Speaking Engagements
We've presented and discussed the Social Economy, what it is, what it means, and how to accomplish it at various conferences, conventions, summits, and festivals across the world, both in-person and virtually. Below are some of our most enjoyable experiences.

We were extremely privileged and fortunate to have been personally invited by the United Nations to attend the Sustainable Development Goal Action Weekend and the run-up to the 78th General Assembly High-Level Week in New York at the UN Headquarters. Soconomy presented about, and participated in discussions pertaining to, public-private sector partnerships, the role of international financing institutions in assisting with sustainable development efforts, youth empowerment, and SDG's 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), all highly pertinent issues related to advancing the Social Economy.

We were honored to have the opportunity to present and speak at the Catalysing Research Convention, co-hosted by Catalyst 2030 and the International Science Council and co-organized by the United Nations Development Programme. The convention aimed to highlight the urgency of encouraging and empowering sound and suitable research methodology for changemakers across all age groups to advance the 2030 Agenda.

Soconomy was invited to host our very own event at the 2024 LearningPlanet Festival, where we taught participants about the Social Economy, its relevance as the world seeks to accomplish the Sustainable Development Goals and tackle complex issues in the present poly-crisis environment, and how individuals, businesses, and governments can leverage their own expertise and skills to contribute to making the world a better place.
