Our Story
The modern world is currently engulfed in a poly-crisis environment, requiring a multi-faceted approach to addressing the various issues threatening humanity's prosperity. Pessimism regarding our prospects is particularly prevalent in youth, with the World Economic Forum highlighting research from the International Labour Organization indicating only a third of young people are optimistic about the future of our society, thus indicating a dire need for unprecedented interdisciplinary change and action. We at Soconomy see the Social Economy as a viable method of re-balancing economic and social objectives. Soconomy is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference, starting from our own personal communities up to a global scale. We advocate for policies that accomplish the goals of the Social Economy and work towards empowering youth and increasing directed investment towards this topic in order to accomplish collaboratively building this ecosystem on an international scale.
